On a page called "A Fresh Start for Michael and Amber," she writes that her dream wedding day "was full of sorrow, pain, and shame, tainted by the actions of one man."
the fact that she believes she is a true victim is unbelievable.
I feel bad for her. I do. But it's incredibly insensitive to make such a big deal of her cancelled party and honeymoon when people actually lost their lives.

I feel bad for as well although setting up a GoFundMe page for wedding/honeymoon plans is ridiculous. People need to learn to budget for that kind of stuff.
Hey, I'm not going to dump on this woman. I don't think that what she is asking is so outrageous or disrespectful of those whose lives were lost. She identified her brother to police, I am sure the media was camped out all over her house, I know that by canceling her wedding she is out a goodly some of money. She has promised to use the money to pay bill finance a decent honeymoon and to donate 10% to Emanuel Church. Like I said, I'm not going to dump on her.

Well, it's not an issue of budgeting or not. Her wedding had to be cancelled because of her brother's actions. So presumably she lost all the money that had been budgeted. Vendors still had to be paid, even though the wedding was cancelled. So the money is gone, and they still aren't married.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that they're not going to take (or at least solicit donations for) a honeymoon when 9 families are paying funeral expenses. That does seem disrespectful to me.

They can still get married. Just have the reception/party at some point in the future.
