They have no idea what all the others are like. One of these days someone is going to get killed by something like this.
No way. If someone commits murder it's their own misconduct, not anyone else's fault. Just ask all the pro lifers who washed their hands of any culpability in Dr. Tiller's murder. As for psycho dentist, he did what he did and he'll have to face the consequences. Maybe all those who want to protect him can start a petition.
Cecil was most likely a very friendly, very tame, uncommon Zimbabwe lion that was good for tourism and the economic health of the country. Killing him was about like killing someone's beloved family pet. The person who killed him should face a hefty fine and be banned from hunting in Africa. They need to find a way to replace Cecil and jump start tourism again.
I think that would be far more reasonable than our government extraditing a U.S. citizen to a brutal third world dictatorship. That it's even a thought is scary. And it's a petition on whitehouse.gov that the president is seriously considering! It really freaks me out that we would send a citizen there for justice. This was not a rape and murder. It was a hunt that he may have thought was completely legal until after the kill.

I think we're closer than further apart on this. Death threats are never acceptable, but at the end of the day I don't have any more regard for the karmic well being of Palmer than he had for that magnificent beast he killed. I do appreciate your sense that we should appeal to our better selves. It's commendable.
How did Planned Parenthood get brought up concerning the brutal murder of Cecil the Lion? Anyways if any mammals that needs to have the population controlled it is homo sapiens!! There only about 45,000 lions left in the wild verses 7 billion homo sapiens

Well they are acting on emotion. Get the guy and "everyone lives happily ever after" and they will move on to the next crisis to perform a "Trial by Twitter".
I'd wager few of them have any clue about trophy hunting in Africa.
