Refusing to bow to the hang-ups and insecurities of a relatively-small minority group. not all of whom are particularly flagrant or militant, does not constitute a personal insult -- save to the extreme fringe. Just who appointed you as judge, jury, and court of final appeal?

Was into something seedy, like sex work? A lot of trans people have to resort to sex work for survival because of people like those in this thread that do everything they can to exclude us from the world. So if you are saying these trans people that have been murdered deserve it, you are sick.

If that gets on driver's licenses, the end is very near people. I'd love to see the look on an NYPD's officer's face & hear what they say when they pull over one with that 3rd gender nonsense on their DL.

I for one welcome it.

I don't really hate anyone I know. That's a really strong position to take. For the most part I wish to be left alone and in return I leave others to their own life. I don't care what you do if it doesn't have a impact on my life or others.

In my opinion that is a great position to have in life. I want people to respect my rights as a individual so I respect other people to do what they wish with their life.

With that stated, If I chose to hate someone or not be nice to them, I also have that right.

Now what I stated above, I think was respectful and outlined my opinion well enough.
What if I wasn't respectful? You don't have to like someone who is disrespectful but what I find objectionable is the criminalization of it. Expressing views and penalizing people legally for those views is something that many feel is going way to far in this country.

The problem is that you want to regulate thought and speech. You want to require people to be nice.

Dictators, Communists, Monarchies and now Socialist leaning Democracies in Europe have done this.

The UK, Germany and France now penalizes people both financially and criminally for expressing statements that aren't political correct.

The madness needs to stop or there will be no freedom of speech. There will only be totalitarianism that is supported by those that wish to never offend anyone.

Back to the part about "What if I wasn't respectful?" I have that right to not respect your opinion and state it. If I did have a problem with Transsexuals (which I could care less what they do or call themselves) I have a right to state it. If I made the choice to respond to your post differently I might have a problem with following the rules on this privately owned website but the government doesn't have the right to censor me.

You 're not entitled to not being disliked, spoken down to or to not have your feelings hurt, ever.

There would never be any public discourse on any subject.

If I think you're a idiot and I stated it, get over it. If I called you Bob and your name is Sally and it so destroys your life that you think you need to penalize me both financially and maybe it's a hate crime that you could put me in a cage for, I think you just might be pathetic and it is dumbing down free expression is this country.

Like I stated, I have nothing against Trans People. I love my lesbian relative the same as I care for all my family members. BUT dammit, if I had a bakery and didn't want to bake her a damn cake, GTF over it. It didn't kill you. It didn't destroy your life. Tell all your friends not to use my bakery. Don't use the State to really destroy peoples lives because they don't hold the same opinions that you do, Go F yourself and leave me the hell alone might be my answer.

I wouldn't state that because I'm a nice person and would just state I disagreed, but I also have the right as a individual to state go F yourself if I wanted. Maybe not on this site but freedom of speech has to do with me and the government.

To be all inclusive is heading towards discriminating against any outlining thought or behavior that isn't approved of by the majority or the bureaucracy of government. Making thought and behavior illegal that may make anyone feel uncomfortable is dangerous.

Where words are a crime when expressing opinions on ideas, lifestyles and morality is oppression just as much as the government taking rights away from people because of race or any classification of people.

What you take from others they sure can take from you. To voice an idea or opinion should never be up for grabs. You may lose your ability to respond and that is far more important than feeling uncomfortable or having your feelings hurt.

Yeah, and I'd love to see the look on his face and hear what he says after he gets fired

I'm not saying they deserve to be murdered, I'm saying they put themselves in a position for bad things to happen to them. Try again.

No, we want people to stop hating and if they won't do that by themselves then they need to be encouraged. HATE is wrong. What part of that do you not understand?

Face it. You're on the wrong side of history.

Right, why feed their fantasy. It would make their life a lot better if everyone did that including their psychiatrists.

YOUR attitude is the kind that created the stupid fine and controversy to begin with!
That's what I don't get. Biologically you are either male or female. Didn't these people take biology? It is all in their head which is why it is a mental illness and despite what they attach or delete, the illness is still in their head. It is called "gender confusion": Prominent M.D.: 'Gender confusion' a fleeting mental disorder

We're saying that their rights don't trump ours.
We're saying that nobody should be fined for calling a "she" a "he", or for refusing to call Tom, Mary Ann.
We're saying that we find it sick when a grown man wears a dress, lipstick, wig and pretends to be a purse-carrying, hip-swishing woman. So sorry. Deal with it.
We find it "sick" because it is a mental health issue. What I never understood is that the dress, makeup, etc. don't make one a woman and most women anymore don't even wear dresses. Women and men are biologically, different on the inside and changing the outside changes nothing.

They are creating a "special" class of people that get "special" concessions. They are mentally ill and I can't see harassing them by calling them other types of names but "gender", really. If they are so fragile that if accidentally called the wrong gender, especially when they look like that gender or someone in drag, that it causes major distress, it would be better if they were in a "special" place to protect them.

Scanned through some articles and many are in the sex trade which is a very dangerous occupation. Drugs are another source of trouble. I think this all ties into the desperate need for adequate mental health services for these self-destructive people.

Sadly, Bruce Jenner has not made the best spokesperson for the "community" since he, rather than identifying it for the mental illness that it is, has made it into a joke. A sad, sick joke. He's a man with a penis in a dress, wig and makeup.

I haven't worn a dress in probably 20 years and by not wearing one, I didn't become a man so by him wearing one, he didn't become a female.

This is all really elementary and employers should not be fined since you never know when John might wake up thinking he is Jane. A bunch of crap.
