It was the father's fault. He pointed a rifle at the constable. If he hadn't of done that, Ciara would be alive today.

IDK about homicide, but reckless endangerment, definitely. Or criminal negligence.

Yeah, everything is parents fault.
They are the ones who brought kids in this world.
If they weren't born, nothing would happen to them.
Now charge all parents whose kids are murdered as they are responsible for bringing them to this dangerous world.

Yes because giving birth is the same thing as pointing a rifle at a constable knowing your child is behind you.

We don't always agree that's for sure.........but we sure do on this one.

People are responsible for their actions. The father had plenty of time to leave before the cop showed up and he choose to answer the door armed for a conflict and his wish was granted.

He probably wanted suicide by cop so he ambushed the constable.

The fact the town had a constable means they were small with few resources. They did what they could the resident choose the rest.
