For all we know the constable tried to fire center mass but the father moved or leaned to the side just as the constable was firing.

Even the family of the father and daughter is blaming the father instead of blaming the constable, and they know the father better than we do.

It's a sad situation. I feel for the daughter and the constable.

The father was the cause of this. Don't blame the Constable.

Actually, yes I would. Because in my world, if you are pointing a gun at me, you mean to shoot me. And I'm coming out of this alive.

That's not expecting less of cops. But it's apparent you THINK less of cops.

This thread reminds me of the mom of the kid shot by police in St. Louis 3 weeks after Ferguson.

"My baby didn't even have a gun."
"He just was buying a sandwich."
"Cops murdered him."

Then reality:
-ankle bracelet for you guessed it....unlicensed gun, awaiting trial
-gun found at scene
-social media pics of kid HOLDING the gun found at scene flashing gang signs

Some people just can't accept the fact that they or their loved ones are at all to blame. They always have an excuse like in this thread where even if they point a gun at someone it's not really their fault.

Janitorial jobs are way more dangerous than law enforcement jobs, and when you shoot at a janitor you dont shoot at State. If anything, janitors need blank permission to unload their weapons at the slightest sign of danger more than cops do. You point 0.223 at a janitor knocking on your door, BAM, a threat was eliminated. I cannot believe people expect less guts and common sense from the cops than from the janitors.
One more question;

Would you and the rest of your self-righteous friends be as eager to apply the same standards if the peace officer in question were female? I retain my doubts.

What murder? The cop shot the adult, not the child. The cop may not even have seen the child. And it wasn't the cop's fault that the adult allowed the child into the room just as he was getting in position for a shoot-out. What is an untrained citizen capable of? What are you talking about?

When you're being put out on the street logic probably goes out of the window. I know the cop and the dad probably feels terrible about this...

Serving eviction papers in the dead of winter is pretty heartless, father's fault though.
