Think LBJ is special now?? Just wait until TXDOT tears up I-635 from U.S. 75 all the way to I-35E. You'll really need an alternate in the next few years. And construction is also expected to begin on 121 and 114 sometime next year.

Well its next week and your right it did take longer. I left at 6:07 today and got to work at 6:34am. It took 27 minutes instead of 26!

From Legacy and Alma in Plano to Lamar just south of downtown.

I had to go into work early a few days, before 7:00, and it was sweet. Very little traffic on the tollway from Addison to downtown. Too bad my regular time is 8:15.

I also include in my commute time getting all the way to my desk, though, and it can be 10-12 minutes from entering the parking garage to sitting at my desk.

Driving down hwy 75 at 6:30am or earlier is great. There are lots of cars but not enough to slow anything down. I do 70-75 mph in the left lane the entire way.

Are you an early morning commuter(before 8am)? I was considering using Dart to commute. Is Duck Creek near 30/Beltline? Me and hubby checked it out one day and thought it would be much longer than 25 minutes to downtown on the bus.
Currently i commute from South Mesquite via 175. It takes me 25 minutes to get downtown. I leave around 8:15am.

My wife takes the same commute from Mesquite on 175. You can't beat it. We avoid I-30 at all cost during rush hour. I don't think taking the train/bus would be of much benefit. You won't improve your commute time and you won't save much gas because you have to drive to Garland to catch the train. These are just my opinions. If you decide to try the train and you happen to prove me wrong, let me know so I can pass it on to my wife.

I think Lakewooder misunderstood you. You said that traffic has been good last week. I think Lakewooder though you said just for Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.

Traffic is usually lighter on U.S. 175 (C F Hawn), and from the looks of what you've said, I guess TXDOT is finished with those bridge repairs at Hwy 175 and State Highway 310. There was bridge damage from a recent tank truck explosion, and I thought they were going to close off the area indefinitely.

Must be fixed.
