Overall it's a sad state of affairs.

Sure seems like a sausage-fest, at least on most of the dating websites. Some of my high school dude friends who moved out to California shortly after graduating have commented that one of the "first" things they noticed was an immediate increase in attractive, available women compared to when they lived here.

If I was getting HUNDREDS of messages a week I would be picky and develop an attitude too, but as a male that just doesn't happen unless you're famous (especially), well-endowed, rich, or some combination thereof. Men and women live in completely different worlds in this country, they couldn't be any more different in their experiences and results with regards to dating.

Learning that even average "plain Jane" women get literally HUNDREDS of responses, messages, and matches per week was a real big eye-opener for me
Dating websites are terrible. You are better off meeting people the old fashion way. The women I have met (and dated) through friends are typically 50% better looking than the women I meet on Internet dating sites.

With that said the problem in Denver is none of the people you meet know any available women (because there aren't any... lol).

^^^ This seems to be "the crux of the matter" right here, it ain't nicknamed "Menver" for nothing

California, Las Vegas, Arizona, even Texas all seem to have more single women, as far as neighboring states/areas go. If any lurkers are reading this and looking to re-locate to CO, make SURE you lock down a woman or GF beforehand or bring her w/ you because the pickings are slim around here. You've been warned.

It's "high and dry" up here in mile-high.

Personally no matter where I go in Colorado as of late, it is like all I am around is women.

Whether they are single or not, I wouldn't know.

I see lots of women with out of state license plates driving around in Colorado.

Go to any coffee shop, book store or expensive restaurant in the area and it seems like the vast majority of the patrons are women.

Denver's retail areas like West 32nd Avenue, Pearl Street, South Broadway, Cherry Creek all are full of women in their 20s and 30s.

The only way it seems anymore in this state for me to be in a majority guy environment is to go to Boulder.

Dating apps were only an example (isn't this the du jour method of meeting people these days?)... I meant my experiences in general: That includes out-and-about, events, Meetups, work, through friends, etc. Arizona women don't like the cut of my jib. Occasionally I'll see an attractive girl with a more alternative beardo like myself. Where the hell they are meeting them, I dunno. Maybe like one of you said: They moved here from somewhere else and brought her with.

Exactly what I could say about here in AZ. My last job was in an office space above a popular retail/dining mixed development area, and there were women all over the place, all the time... but they won't make eye contact with another human being if you were on fire and they just bought an extinguisher. Who knows, maybe they're out spending all their boyfriends/husbands' money while they're at work. Whatever the situation, they're not looking to be social and meet any potential suitors, particularly of my ilk. That's kinda my whole point about coming to Denver (or wherever else).

this atypical view was not any more credible the first three times you posted it in this thread.

Let me guess.... you are a woman, you go out in public early in the mourning, you work in a female dominated job like retail, medical billing or a call center, you spend your free time going to shopping malls. And you live in Colorado Springs don't you?

Crazy. As a 30 something year old man I thought the dating scene in Denver was amazing. I was never without a date. There were a few strange ones, but overall I had a good time.

Met my fiancée there

Then again I’m coming from a small town of 600.

Sometimes I miss being single in 2014 with Tinder. Haha

I never had any issues dating in Cos when I was younger, which has more men than Denver. I think its all perspective.

Personality also has a lot to do with it. If you're a self-absorbed douche with decent looks you're going to find it harder to date than an average-looking guy with a decent personality.

I've been married for 46+ years, yeah, I'm that old.... but if I were young and single today I'd be looking for someone who is INTERESTING, not just easy on the eye. It's kind of like Colorado, the scenery in COLO sure is easy on the eye, but ya gotta have a job that pays the rent. Interesting men with "stand up guy" personalities should never have to sit at the lunch table with the INCEL varsity team.
