When I was single and dating a few years back, I didn't necessarily have an issue finding dates. I just think the people here are...different? There are a lot of eclectic personalities. I met a lot of granola-women here, but I'd say there is a diverse mix. My GF is a good balance between eclectic and practical, which is why we've been together for as long as we have.

I've noticed one thing, compare Colorado Springs to Denver or any area in Colorado outside Denver metro, the single women are somewhat different. More religious, less outdoorsy, more rural, practical, homebody and family oriented. Personally, I have no preference of religious or non-religious women, but they're more open so to speak and not pretentious. (i.e. Bristol Palin types)

Colorado Springs has alot of middle-aged single women who are friendly.

The younger women in Colorado Springs tend to prefer the stay-at-home lifestyle and have big families, the younger women in Denver and Boulder are very highly educated and very career-oriented.

I just looked at the 2011 figures from American Factfinder and only 52% of Colorado Springs women work as opposed to 61% in Denver and 62% in Boulder.

I find the younger women in Denver to be in intellectual, worldly, educated and aloof. Colorado Springs has younger women who prefer to have large families and stay at home.

A vast majority of younger Colorado Springs women try to live the soccer mom lifestyle, the problem though is that Colorado Springs is a lower-middle class city.

Colorado Springs has a large population of divorced middle-aged and retiree women who are friendly and outdoorsy though.

One of more likely to find an outdoorsy 80 year old in Colorado Springs as opposed to an outdoorsy 20 year old.

In general, Colorado Springs has more social oppurtunities for the older demographic. I would say Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins have more social oppurtunities for younger people.

I don't know what Denver has to offer (single-life wise) for a guy like me. It's hard to get clear answers on the dating scene there. I'm a design professional, an urbanite, and a musician/muso type.

Every other post is "there's tons of women", "the place is a sausage fest". Well, which is it? Supposedly, there's a halfway decent music (heavy music in particular) scene there. The prevalence of hip, urban neighborhoods is obvious.

From what I've heard, Colorado Springs is the stuffy, traditionalist, conservative front of Colorado; Boulder the lefty, aging, hippie front; and Denver the more youthful, working gentry middle-ground. The fist two have zero appeal for me.

Definitely a situation where the advice from strangers on the internet should only constitute 5% of you decision making. Spend a few hundred bucks and come visit.

On the other hand, I see plenty of guys around here who are in-shape 8's and 9's in terms of looks, yet I notice they have an overweight girlfriend/wife or the girlfriend/wife is much lower on the scale (4-6.5 range) compared to the looks of the guy.

One of the many reasons I've been researching a FL re-location lately (lower cost of living is the *main* one), at least down there you got beaches, girls, etc. Being a Hispanic male myself, I can see myself fitting right in down there. Also the close proximity to Latin American countries and the Caribbean is a plus for even more dating prospects.

If we're talking single life, you really have to go where the women are plentiful (coastal areas, warmer climates, popular cities, etc). I personally know a few guys from my HS class of 2005 who can attest to this, they moved out west to Cali/LA area and couldn't be happier w/ their dating prospects, 2 of them are married already. Another one has been in a 4-year LTR and he seems happy last I spoke to him.

Just like with good jobs, quality women seem to be mostly location location location. If there are no suitable women around, it seems you just have to pack up your things and go to where they are, simple as that.
I see lots and lots of women in Denver whenever I am up there. Especially in the trendy areas.

The thing about Denver is that it has a very high female labor force participation rate. A majority of females are very educated in Denver and are very career-oriented.

Denver is a huge white-collar, service sector-city so the women are at work so they afford those over-inflated real estate prices.
There is no shortage of women in Denver. Educated, white-collar women flock there in droves.

South Pearl Street, West 32nd avenue at Tejon and Meade and Glendale especially.

I remember when 9th and Downing was nearly-all gay as a coffee shop and now it seems like half of the people sipping coffee there are younger females.

I've visited there seven or eight times actually. My brother and his wife live in LoHi. I go up every Xmas for a week or so, and I've condo/pet-sat the place on a couple of occasions while they were on their honeymoon and on vacation (I was freelancing at the time so working remotely wasn't an issue).

Like I said, it seemed cool... but you can't get the gist of a place without living there. I don't know the spots or the scene. That's why you ask people who do live there.
