Isn't it a form of carbs which is vaguely a nutrient? I don't know, those low sugar people that fall to the ground and crawl to a piece of candy to shoot up again makes it seem like a nutrient.

You have basically no fiber and no nutrients in your 500 calorie diet.
Well then I can say I had legumes today, yesterday was peanut butter. Don't potato chips have fiber? I know they have fat and salt which is important when u eat so little.

It is a nutrient-free carbohydrate. People fall to the floor and crawl to meth too, and no that's not a nutrient either.

Sorry, the formatting didn't come thru.

My label (great value brand, bbq potato chips) show potassium, fat, sodium, fiber, protein. Though not much it's still there. Fat being the main one I wanted. Also your serving size says 1 tsp, I don't know anyone who eats chips by the teaspoon. I think sugar is a nutrient as well, though it's not one people generally need, unless they're on a 500 calorie diet where certain rules have to change.

The info was for sugar, not chips.

Potato chips do not have any appreciable fiber. You can find way better sources of fat and salt. You could have veggie soup or bone broth. You could sautéed your vegetables in a little bit of fat to help make the nutrients more digestible.

But you need to eat real vegetables. They do not have many calories.

Interesting, looks like sugar is basically carb.

I think I'm going to cook some greens I have with coconut oil. Maybe with a few crushed walnuts and bowl of Total cereal. I prefer my whole milk but soy milk has half the calories so I have soy during this diet. The serving size for cereal is 3/4 a cup, that looks like so little in the measuring cup. I think people have way more calories from cereal than they realize. Before I used a larger than average bowl and usually filled it up - that's a lot of wheaties! Like I'm about to run a 100 mile marathon.

I've lost 1 or 2 pounds in the past couple days with very minimal exercise.

OP, you really do not understand that you are causing long term damage to your body and health using this fad do you?
People can lose 1 or 2 pounds from a big poo, which only means they had lots o poo to lose but they lost no actual weight.

It's not a fad, it's something between fasting and classical dieting, carrying some benefits of both (I eat once a day). People always have a bunch of crap in their body, but a bit less after this diet and a half gallon+ of water daily. Fasting throughout the year is a very normal thing in Hindu and Muslim culture. It clears the mind and detoxes the body. I weighted 178.4 Monday after eating, before the 500 diet, now Wednesday evening after drinking a bunch of water I'm 174.6, I know I didn't crap the entire 4 pounds in 2 days, I've been having 1,000 calories for several days now.
