Apparently, there is a way of determining if autophagy is going on, but it involves monitoring a couple of variables I don't understand. But there's more going on than just what is noted in mice studies.

Started IF in late August. That's seven months and that's a long time in terms of dieting. See:

For the rest of the posters... myself and KZ were 6-day Christmas to New Year fasting partners.
We started at the same time and are doing very well.

I got new pants around Christmas time and might have to get some more because they're loose.
Also have a couple of pretty nice suits that were too small. Now they're probably too big!

1st world problems associated with losing a bunch of weight...

Next use is a wedding in June.
I think I'll wait until it's a little closer.

The pizza was delicious!

19 hour fast yesterday and a great family birthday lunch at The Cheesecake Factory! We've decided to make it our family tradition for this particular birthday. Yippee!

I only gained 2 lbs. from the pizza. I've seen a lot worse.
What's more interesting is a 271 blood sugar. I expected higher (more like 371) from a thick crust pizza... quite a bit of bread there.

Anong with a couple of no-med days last week, it's another sign that I'm become less diabetic.

19 1/2 hour fast yesterday - completely by accident. I went shopping and lost track of time. Doh! I had protein pancakes for lunch. Yum!

Back to work today.

I ended up gaining 3.2 lbs this weekend, so it's time to get it back off.
It snowed almost 4" here yesterday but it almost all melted. Grilling Season is officially back and will be for another 8 months or so.
