18 hour fast yesterday. I shut down an hour early last night and haven't figured out a plan for today. I guess we'll see what happens sometime around noon today!
Since I worked both days this weekend, I was OMAD both days, the first at the end of a 48 hr fast.
Gained less than 2 lbs this weekend so it should be another good week.
Getting two Cheap Chickens after work today. That's what I'll be having the next 4 days.
Cheap Chicken wins again! It's a new record low, 183.9 lbs... lost 1.6 lbs.
On another Friday Fast, 35 hrs in and I'm at work again today with no food, so it'll continue again for awhile.
Steak dinners the next two nights so I shouldn't gain much.
Then back to Cheap Chicken on Monday. I want to be in the 170's by the end of the next month.
19 hour fast yesterday. Brunch with the kids is canceled for today (one of them is sick), so I should get my usual 18 hour fast in. I'm a bit bummed though - we were going to try someplace new! Oh well, another weekend!
You guys are doing well, both of you. My issue is learning to maintain the weight loss without gaining, or somehow mentally justifying eating a lot of sugar (or carbs, or wine), and continuing the benefits of autophagy. It really is surprisingly difficult. The problem is not resolved forever, just because the weight is down.
I read about a study from researchers at Harvard, I believe, the conclusions being that people with chronic weight struggles tend to be more sensitive to the sight, smell and mention of food. Somebody out here in this area must have baked some gingerbread because I smelled it and boy, I want some. Cornbread is bad enough but the sugar in the gingerbread is not a good idea, especially if there is frosting!
Mmm ... gingerbread! I might have a gingerbread RxBar this afternoon now!
19 hour fast yesterday. All in all, a good day. We had chili for dinner and I tried a possible tortilla chip substitute which was a 'no thank you'. The hunt for healthy, high protein snacks that taste good continues!

Sorry about getting you into the gingerbread. This is why at 12-step meetings for food addiction (Overeaters Anonymous), it is not allowed to mention any specific type of food.

No worries - it's all good! I have a protein bar almost every day, you just helped me decide which flavor!

One day a week, KZ.
We stopped at McD's yesterday because the wife wanted fries. She has to give me one.
I asked her to get me a Diet Coke. She goes in and gets it, then comes out and hands me the drink.
I bet I drank half of it and she says "You know, that's regular Coke?"
No, I didn't!! But I thought it tasted unusually good.
She forgot to get my drink and had given me hers.
I measured my blood sugar after dinner and it was "only" 171.
Surprised me... I would've thought it would've been higher after downing half a large Coke.
That's actually kind of good news.
OMAD yesterday.
I behaved and only gained a little over a pound this weekend, so I'm expecting another good week.
