I used to make those cheese crisps when we were doing low carb. So tasty!! I never made one as big as a taco shell though, just smaller sized ones. My kids loved them too.
18 hour fast yesterday. I bought some high protein crackers to eat with cheese and two out of three of them are a win! The third isn't bad, so I can finish it. But no need to buy them again.
I also bought some cheese crisps to try, but I don't really like them. They're sort of 'meh'. If I drench them in salsa, I can eat them - so that's the plan for now! No need to buy those again either.
Oh, and I found some high protein cereal which is yummy! (Kay's is my new go-to)
What's interesting about this one is that I ate a lot last weekend.
On Saturday morning I weighed 182.7 lbs. On Monday morning I weighed 190.1 lbs, a gain of 7.4 lbs.
During the week I was pretty compliant, but I didn't have Cheap Chicken all week like I usually do.
I ate various low carb stuff that we had around to try to use some of it up.
Lost it all and then some, which is very good news.
This weekend I'll try to keep it under a 2 lb gain. I want to be in the 170's when I weigh in on 4/28.
Well, I am 52 hrs in and still going, except for that single french fry that the wife is required to give to me.
I'm going for 60+ hrs this time.
We went to Sam's Club and they had some delicious whole cooked turkey breast that they were sampling.
I bought one... it's 4.5 lbs of turkey. This will make a bunch of turkey dinners and sandwiches.
It'll be like Thanksgiving in April!
Fast is about to end at 63 hours. Unofficially lost another 1.5 lbs, but that doesn't matter until next Saturday.
I'm going to gain some of it back today, but I expect to have another good week.
Because I did some extra fasting this weekend, I ended up gaining less than a pound.
I have a plenty of turkey to eat, so I expect a good weigh-in on Saturday.
Nice work Eaton!! Looks like you're on track for a good weigh-in this week.
I did 18:6 all weekend. Weekends can get a bit crazy because the family is at home and we're more likely to eat out, and I eat bigger lunches on the weekends, than I do during the week, but overall I didn't gain anything so I did good.
We walked six miles on Saturday and seven miles on Sunday so I'm off to a good start on my mileage this week. Last week I walked 37 miles which was the best week I've had in months.
I'm doing a 25 hour fast today, it wasn't my plan when I got up this morning, but it just worked out this way. It'll be nice to get a longer one out of the way early this week. May or may not do another longer one mid-week.
Lucy, I hear you. We have some bigger hikes planned this summer in Zion N.P. and the Grand Canyon, and I am trying to get myself ready for them. Once the snow finally melts up here I'll be able to hit the trails with my family, and not just the roads.
Yesterday was 25 hours of fasting. No issues at all. Weird to think that before I would have thought No way would I have been able to do a fast that long, and now it's no big deal. I walked nearly nine miles total.
Today I'm doing 18:6. No walking yet, it's raining today, but I'm hoping to get a smaller walk in with hubby later. I've decided to keep my mouth shut about IF unless I'm asked. People don't want to hear about it and I'm tired of trying to defend it. My results speak for themselves and I am happier than ever.
Rough couple of days. 17 1/2 hour fast yesterday - I simply couldn't last another 30 minutes....
And I didn't even make 12 hours today. I haven't been sleeping well, and that tends to affect everything.
But the good news? Today will be a 'free' day!
