Lightbulb Prideful ignorance...

It's sadly evident.

Corporate interests buy up armies of lobbyists and lawyers to write laws favorable to themselves and harmful to the public. They then fill enough campaign warchests with contributions to ensure their self-written legislation passes.

Next election, they buy millions in campaign advertising to influence the gullible. And the results show that their disinformation is effective. And that's confirmed by many of the comments on this forum.

Corporatists tell the ignorant that their fellow middle class workers are "the real enemy" and the faithful get in step and go forth to repeat what they've been told. On election day, they vote in favor of the corporatists who will shut down their companies and ship their jobs to China.

And the willfully ignorant will cheer the result.

To some folks, ignorance is their most prized possession. And they'll fight like hell to keep it.

Good reading here.

I fear we're becoming too stupid to remain a democracy.

Don't be a joke. The Union owning their own health insurance provider that gets a MONOPOLY at most school districts IS A BIG GREEDY CORPORATION.

Why should the Union be allowed to overcharge above fair market value to school districts.

Feel free to vote for Walker. But don't expect his corporate owners to pat you on the back as you're led out the door.

Walker's reforms have SAVED teacher jobs in Wisconsin...keep feeding me more empty Liberal Rhetoric that ignores reality.

Here's reality.

A survey of Wisconsin school districts released this week has found that budget cuts imposed by Gov. Scott Walker and lawmakers have resulted in 3,368 net education job losses this academic year.

More ultra right wing lies. Because of Walker's fascist agenda, 100's of teachers lost their jobs

You seem to confirm what I said in post #32.

You are spot on. The state propaganda machine of the Soviet Union is nothing compared to the U.S. corporate propaganda machine. At least in the USSR the people knew it was propaganda. In the U.S., the gullible think the corporate lies are gospel.

The ugly truth is that we're losing our country. We're quickly becoming the Incorporated States of America.
