In his emergency press conference after the video was released Romney had all the opportunity in the world to make his statement understood and he did....he stood by what he said. He didn't walk back his erroneous "facts", didn't do anything to take the sting out of the insults he delivered. He only said he should have said them more "elegantly."
More elegantly, in PC talk, would have been less that truth. That seems to be what my author of the link said, that truth was a good thing whether it was PC or not.
The republicans have controlled only the congress for 1 and a half years, the dems controlled both houses and all the committee seats for two years, and retained the senate all four years.
Other presidents had partial control, or no control of either house, and they got the job done.
Yes, I've lived through that. None have been faced with a Congress that has vowed to work against him. None. They all worked on compromise. Not this group.
We do not need to conjure up an imaginary scenario of what our county might look like four years after an 0bama election, like the left is doing with Romney, all we need to do is open our eyes to the reality that we see with our own eyes, and it's complete and undeniably a failure.
We do not have to wonder if 0bama will be able to keep his lofty promises, or live up to his Utopian predictions, of what he claims he will accomplish if elected, we see his broken promises and failure to deliver on those predictions, they are scattered all over the ground at our feet.
Yes, yes, yes and we can always remember what he told the Russian on the open mike about having more liberty to act with the Russians after the election. What could he have meant by that? We all know but some just won't pay any attention to that.
This chart shows that younger voters voted in very high numbers for Obama and the older voters voted for McCain.
When someone is 20 years old and still in college, they are too young to be earning the kind of money that a 55 year old will earn. That 20 year old might be in school to be an MD but they only earned $5000 that year working part-time as an intern during the summer.
That 20-year-old in college in 2008 doesn't have a job today, thanks to Obama. Think about that...
A bunch of younger voters are going to be low earners because many are still in school and others are in their first jobs that start out with lower pay. It doesn't mean they are janitors and bus drivers for their profession.
Actually most of them, in fact, have been screwed by the Obama non-recovery.
It is past time for you to read the link in the OP. Reading my thread titles and basing everything on them is not good business as many of the left leaners here can attest to. However, those who make the loudest noises about this never, and I mean never, read any of the links I post. I pretty surely know why that is, too.

I spent time thinking about what Romney said, and i find he is out of touch with the common man, and anyone who has paid into SS for their whole lives. SS is no entitlement.
Also I think the SS admin should have invested the tax they collected to increase it's very own treasury, instead of allow poly tics to squander it, which is about all the good any professional poly tic is good for.
Being as conservative as i am wanting to go back to living under the CONS as it was ment to be, i find it very hard to vote for anyone at all this time around.
All I want to do is vote both the Bums OUT! I don't want the socialist Obama who is a proven fool and liar, but I don't want the gun grabber Romney a bit more. I don't care for his sideways sly glances either, as if he knows something no one else has ever dreamed of, because he doesn't.
Obama has no real lead and he has never once been any kind of a leader.... Obama needs to go! But what the Hell do we do with Romney..... i can only pray I am wrong......
He didn't say ONLY payroll taxes, he said he paid payroll taxes. Since he also said that he worked for 50 years, I'm going to assume he is retired and no longer working and is therefore falling in the large group of the 47%ers that are the non-working, social security drawing elderly.
He's saying that it's insulting to him to be called a social parasite when he spent 50 years paying into Social Security so that he could draw it now.
I have paid into Social Security for 67 years and still am doing it since I work part time. I also pay withholding taxes on my wages because SS brings in enough money for me to have to pay income taxes. I took the poster's words just as the man you are talking to.

And I quit reading your links. My security software kept saying "Weird Website! Weird Website! Weird Website!" So instead of going to your links and looking at a bizarre website with loony porn advertising I'm using those few minutes to do something that will actually improve my life. Win-win.
