Probably no one, and certainly no Libertarian has nor would. But a liberal CD poster high on drugs might imagine it, and from there it is a small step to a fervent belief that it actually did occur.

If you're voting you are a statist and therefore not a libertarian.

Outside of North America, the term is still understood as referring to leftist anarchists. Right wing appropriation of the term is relatively recent (last half of The Twentieth Century) and is geographically limited to The US and Canada.

Socialism is not monolithic. There are many libertarian socialists in the world. We are both anti-capitalist and anti-statist, believing that the means of production should be in the hands of worker-collectives, as opposed to either capitalists or the state.

Bernie Sanders is a European-style democratic socialist, which means that he is a statist. Personally, I find him vastly preferable to any of the capitalists who are running, but as a libertarian socialist, I would have to give a lot of consideration to directly supporting him.
Hey Rogead, here's a news flash: we are not "outside of North America."

Your facts are about as useful as this one: if your aunt had testicles, she'd be your uncle.

Default The Democrats have someone unique: A Real Candidate for President

Yep, I'm talking about Bernie Sanders. He self identifies as an Independent, but will be primary'ing as a Democrat.

Every other candidate running for President is either a corporate shill beholden to special interests (Hillary Clinton and every other candidate the Democrats trot out, and the same is true of all the Republicans as well) or some special brand of cray-cray, although there are varying levels of crazy associated with the Republican clown car parade.

Bernie Sanders hates the conservative Supreme Court's decision to allow billionaires to decide who will be this nation's next President. His is a true grassroots campaign. God Bless people like this man, wouldn't it be great if American's were smart enough to elect someone like him?

I agree, Bernie Sanders is one of the few that hasn't pandered 100% to the corporations.

Bernie would be great, except for that part about dismantling the economy. Hope you enjoy the taste of tree bark and grass.

Don't worry, the billionaires you carry water for will still be having prime rib and caviar, they'll be okay.
