This election was driven by fear. I am curious to see how we can come back from that as a country. The slogan "Make America Great Again" is about turning back the clock to a time when many of us had fewer rights and freedoms. Many whites long for the days when we knew our "place" and that dog whistle was sounded over and over again during Trump's campaign.

I can guarantee that the process of eroding "our" freedoms will begin shortly after Trump's inauguration.
Well, to be fair, many non-white Americans voted for Donald Trump as well. Trump could not have won the election with only white votes.

So, this idea that Trump won because of all these white, racist people got together and voted for him is not true.

And the folks that say Trump is anti-immigrant or pro-white is false. He is pro-legal immigration. He is for strong border security. He is for putting America first by ensuring the security and safety of America. You can't do that by having open borders.

Do I think Trump is a perfect person? Heck no. He is probably just as sleazy in some ways as most other politicians and political people (and that would include Hillary Clinton).

But a choice had to be made between Clinton or Trump. I felt Trump would be better for America.

Agreed, but I can't think of a more qualified person for Surgeon General than Dr. Ben Carson. Or perhaps for Secretary of HHS.

This female minority voted for trump. I don't believe your fear mongering BS. Looks like I wasn't the only one, either...

We are going to see our gains eroded, all because some white voters thought their precious resources were being diverted to minorities.

Hey minorities, you do not deserve to live and be treated like a human, that is only for white American men.
You can toss your race card, it's pretty well worn out right now.

Calipoppy, you get me.

I agree.

It's a white-lash against the browning of America.

No one wants to talk about it, except us people of color. Jerseygal4U was brave enough to do it. And look already at how people are responding to her? She's only said the obvious.

What angers me is that when we do bring it up, many of the majority or other non brown races believe we're pulling the "race card," or are "overreacting."

It's such an insult when people do this because it demonstrates they are willingly ignorant to the fact that racial issues are deeply embedded in, and intertwine with, every facet of the fabric of America. They are in denial that their family members, and even they themselves, have deep racist views that are based on idiocracy and fear.

These silent white men and women, the one's who were ashamed to admit they would vote for and subsequently voted for trump, are the reason this disgraceful being was elected to our nation's highest office.

They'd rather this country go down in flames, over having their way of life and perceived power, given away.

They can ignore it and fight against it all they want. It will continue to brown, no matter who is in office. But they will regret electing him. They truly will.

I guess we are going to find out what Trump REALLY says and means, versus the emotional dramatic pap and lies told to us by the MSM and the Clinton Campaign.

Should be very interesting when all these newly butt-hurt liberal democrats find out what Trump is really about.

This is really the crux of OP's problem on every issue she brings up. Me, me, me.........no real concern for the country as a whole.

put the crack pipe down, dump the democrat kool aid down the drain, no wait it might pollute the sewer system, cant dump it on the ground, so take it down to your local recycling center that handles toxic waste.

now listen up. no one is losing their rights under trump. if anything you might end up gaining under trump, you know, things like JOBS, etc.

i have said it before, lets take a wait and see attitude here.you might be surprised at what happens. minorities have been taken for granted by democrats since 1964, and they have suffered as a result every time democrats had power.
