Lol it’s CNN. Nobody trusts them. Joke of an organization. Wish they would close up shop here in Atlanta.

I don't believe anyone, not even over the top left wingers really believe these polls. But you seem to think they are the final word? Think what you want and then on Nov 4h come back and tell us Biden won by 16 points. I will be waiting.

A total of 1,205 adults were interviewed by telephone nationwide by live interviewers calling both landline and cell phones. Interviews were conducted in English and Spanish. Among the entire sample, 33% described themselves as Democrats, 28% described themselves as Republicans, and 39% described themselves as independents or members of another party.
470 Independents? What are the chances of that many Independents? What page was that info on? I could not find the "methodology". This DOES NOT look like any of the polls that I have seen before.

Hey, if it makes you feel good for awhile, I say, why not believe it!

I had a course in "Probability and Statistics", so the dissecting the polls is interesting to me. This one is just strange. An "uneducated" Trump supporter no less.

Trump's childish behavior at the debates did not sit well with the adults in the room. It cost him many undecided and fence sitters. The he and his White House got covid. His utterly bizarre behavior (to the point that his son showed concern) surrounding his hospitalization added a couple more points that may not even be in today's polling.

Independents by registration not ideology They do discuss results among left leaning and right leaning INDs. and also compare today's results to previous polling (which was RVs not LVs as this poll is). Anyway, it is all in the discussion of the result on the CNN page.

FWIW, this poll is quite consistent with the one from NBC/WSJ a couple days ago. I had dismissed that one as an outlier. Maybe it was not.

This appears to be the beginning of a nosedive for Trump.
