It must be remembered Trump lost the popular vote in 2016, and won in a number of states by a razor thin margin. I seriously doubt he will pick up any additional votes, and likely has lost some.

People might not say it when polled, but many are voting less on the issues this time around, and more on personal qualities.

Yes, and Trump's arrogant conduct while infected with the virus is and will be seen as a slap in the face to the relatives of the 215,000 dead.

Notice that the republican pro Trump poster used facts.

The democrat anti-trump poster used emotions and hyperbole.

Interesting!

What pieces? Trump was given a healthy economy by every measure. Republicans had no business winning in 2016 given the state of the economy. Unless of course it is no longer "the economy, stupid." Trump's economy is a dumpster fire and even when before coronavirus, he was still trailing Obama's economy in 2 of the 3 key indicators (GDP and market gains).

Trump: 8-9% yearly market gains, 3.5% (or 7.9% post COVID) unemployment, ~0% GDP since coming into office.

Obama: 12% yearly market gains, 4.5% unemployment, 2-3% quarterly GDP average

Picking up the pieces is what Obama did. Picking up the pieces is what Clinton did. Completely fumbling it is the realm of Bush and Trump.

And we all know what is coming next: "It isn't Trump's fault!" That would be a line with some merit if he wasn't lying to the American people about the severity of it and undermining those trying to mitigate the spread. Imagine if Obama came into office in 2009 and said "This mortgage crisis isn't my fault. This recession isn't my fault. I'm not going to do anything about it." That's pretty much what Trump did. Some leader he is...

I agree. By telling people not to fear COVID and how wonderful he feels (best in 20 years), he gave the middle finger to those that lost loved ones to COVID.
