I do agree that anti gun laws are pushed more by dems than repugs, but it's a lot closer to even than what you might think it would be.Don't believe the "gun control " lie anymore than you should believe that the neocons have the majority of true Christians on their rolls.Insane right wing evangelicals don't represent as many Christians as they would like to think they do and as more things come to light every day, they represent less and less.
Democrats passed the NFA, GCA 68, they were mad about the FOPA the Reps. were getting passed and so they managed to get through the shady midnight session the machinegun ban passed, dems. were behind the AWB, the Lautenberg amendment, and on it goes. The proposed new AWB was introduced by democrats. There you go, every federal gun control law was passed by the dems.

What I am saying is that as laws get less tolerant of personal behavior, more and more people will be convicted of felonies. What about my friend who stole a pumpkin on a frat scavenger hunt and got caught? The weight of the pumpkin exceeded the misdemeanor/felony grade. If he didn't get it expunged, he wouldn't be able to own a rifle. Republicans support this sort of nonsensical back door gun banning also.

Yes , so do almost all legal gun owners.

There is a long list of federal disqualifiers for ownership.
It's a good list.

Even touching a gun or a single round of ammunition is a felony
for a prohibited person.

Some people shouldn't have guns.

The quoted poster ( if he's telling the truth )
is an example.

Big time sentence enhancement for combo's of drugs & guns ....
.....dude.

Illegally made machine guns.

What is your point?

ETA: MG's have been regulated, heavily and unconstitutionally since 1986

I don't think most people who see Obama as a socialist think he is the anti-Christ!!! He is simply too liberal for a large segment of this country's citizens. That same segment (including me) didn't vote for Clinton, or Kerry, either. So why do Obama supporters think it is necessary to disparage voters who think Obama is too liberal - and attach all sorts of other nefarious motives to WHY these voters are not backing Obama?

That is illogical, presumptive and stereotypical thinking, methinks.
I hadn't seen too many reasonable posts espousing simply that "Obama's too liberal for me...".

I was responding to the "Obama's going to hire his freedom-hating Black Panther Soldiers and demand reparations for slavery and steal cattle from blind farmers and ..... Oh, you DO know his middle name is 'Hussein' right??? Coincidence??? I think not.... ". Crap that I'm hearing.

Your statement is fine and I wouldn't have felt it necessary to respond had most been like yours....

Ohhhhh - don't wanna talk about that!!!! Seeing as how the demographics of the DEM party perfectly fit the demographics of the people who took out those loans, HMMMMM.
Funny though how you cite McCain's plan and then bad mouth it and pretend like it's Obama's plan....

Priceless!!!

I was showing how well it worked. These guys were criminals. They had AK's during an assault weapons ban. This was the LA thing you were referring to.

Please. I have a concealed carry permit, volunteer at the local range, and am a card carrying member of the NRA for over 5 years. I also snowboard and am an academian (you know, one of those "elitist" folks?). Don't fit me into a neat little stereotype of what a gun owner is supposed to feel, look, and smell like.
