As a business owner whose money supply depends quite a bit on gun owners to make my bills,I deal with a lot of them daily.I got sick of hearing this lie in my store and started researching it.Perhaps you should do the same.Google is your friend,use it to fact check a bit.Go state by state and then move on to the federal level and just see what YOU come up with.Also,you may want to check current gun laws,who sponsored them and then check who voted FOR them.I think you will be shocked AND disappointed( I sure was) at the same time.NRA money ain't buying as much as it used to.
I do agree that anti gun laws are pushed more by dems than repugs,but it's a lot closer to even than what you might think it would be.Don't believe the "gun control " lie anymore than you should believe that the neocons have the majority of true Christians on their rolls.Insane right wing evangelicals don't represent as many Christians as they would like to think they do and as more things come to light every day,they represent less and less.
Democrats passed the NFA, GCA 68, they were mad about the FOPA the Reps. were getting passed and so they managed to get through the shady midnight session the machinegun ban passed, dems. were behind the AWB, the Lautenberg amendment, and on it goes. The proposed new AWB was introduced by democrats. There you go, every federal gun control law was passed by the dems.
Dude, I own tons of AKs/ARs and definitely partake in the good stuff. Heroin, meth, coke...yeah, I can see problems with that. I don't go shooting up the backyard while I'm baked.
What I am saying is that as laws get less tolerant of personal behavior, more and more people will be convicted of felonies. What about my friend who stole a pumpkin on a frat scavenger hunt and got caught? The weight of the pumpkin exceeded the misdemeanor/felony grade. If he didn't get it expunged, he wouldn't be able to own a rifle. Republicans support this sort of nonsensical back door gun banning also.

Even touching a gun or a single round of ammunition is a felony
for a prohibited person.
Some people shouldn't have guns.

This has nothing to do w/ the present administration being Republican. Any administration would have had to put extraordinary measures in place.
I don't think most people who see Obama as a socialist think he is the anti-Christ!!! He is simply too liberal for a large segment of this country's citizens. That same segment (including me) didn't vote for Clinton, or Kerry, either. So why do Obama supporters think it is necessary to disparage voters who think Obama is too liberal - and attach all sorts of other nefarious motives to WHY these voters are not backing Obama?

Please. I have a concealed carry permit, volunteer at the local range, and am a card carrying member of the NRA for over 5 years. I also snowboard and am an academian (you know, one of those "elitist" folks?). Don't fit me into a neat little stereotype of what a gun owner is supposed to feel, look, and smell like.
