Americans are not interested in the ouside world, except a few papers, most only talk about local news.

More than 90 percent of Spanish speakers are Mexican, so they assume that Spanish are Mexicans, but not the "gachupin" white elite in Mexico, but braceros. There are almost no South American from the southern cone.
Pretty much the same with Israelis (sadly ) I think that Europeans are different... or I am wrong?

Lazy and don't like to work. No, just kidding.

I like Spain. Most people I've met have been very friendly and pleasant. Interesting culture and history. Great cuisine and wine... poor beer. The fish tastes a bit odd, and so does the crayfish. Maybe it's the salinity of the water and a bit different species, of course.

General opinion of Romanians about Spain:

-main destination of "căpșunari" (strawberry pickers), derisory term for Romanians working in Spain mainly in cheap, agricultural jobs

-arid land and hot weather

-racists

My opinion: great landscape diversity and huge historical heritage, intelligent people.

The fact you have written down in singular form it's actually quite funny, if we think about it.

Poorer than the UK, more corrupt than the UK, higher unemployment than the UK, less competitive than the UK, less innovative than the UK, more child poverty than the UK, massive exodus to the UK (Spaniards are the new Poles).
