I've been proposed a job in Paris and another in Berlin and don't know which city is better to live...
Sorry there are already threads with topics with Paris or Berlin, but haven't seen any talking of relocation !
I live in Barcelona, and know Paris... and I've been four days in Berlin at the beginning of the month and the city is amazing but so cold !! Was a little bit concerned with the weather...(ok it's not Siberia)...
Can someone who know both of these two cities give me advice ?
thanks for your answer ! I know better Paris and I've only been 4 days in Berlin and it was quite freezing !
Well just to precise I'm a woman of 35 years old, love nature, arts, and dislike discos... I've just read that Berlin has a great quality of life... I was just guessing what kind of quality of life if the temperature was under Zero...
I'm really lost and have to give an answer before friday...
I've been to both cities and if the jobs are about equal, I think Paris. When I was in Berlin, standing in line at a kiosk for food, three German women decided to start pushing me. I had no choice but to leave the line. I presume it was because I'm an American, but, I was not doing anything but stand quietly in line. It was an isolated incident, but it's what comes to my mind about Berlin.
True the weather shouldn't be a factor... the jobs are the same... I'm really lost...
thanks for your answers...maybe someone can give me tips about the mentality...
BTW thanks for your answers guys !! Hope someone who lived in both cities can enlighten me...I'm just afraid Berlin do not offer a lot to people more than 35...I do not seek for nightlife...know it has good restaurants like Paris !
The only difference, Paris is much more expensive... first element to choose berlin, but not enough !!
Any other ideas, answers please ??
The only other thing I can say is my brother and his wife lived in Germany 16 years and loved everything about it. They didn't live in Berlin, but visited several times. Nothing wrong with letting cost of living be the deciding factor.
It depends, is the job in an English speaking environment? Do you speak French or German?
