They didn't quite get their return on investment there. Nuland complained of spending 6 billion dollars to buy influence in Ukraine and wasn't going to let it slip. Besides paying off politicians, businessmen, etc. and funding independence parties, some of the regions in turmoil were in close proximity to Turkey where NATO has been providing logistical support to the Chechen mercenaries in Syria and Iraq.

No. They voted that they have sovereignty in decision-making. And in 1992 they signed a federal agreement with Russia.

Dear NATO members.

In 1999, you attacked the sovereign state and changed borders in Europe by force for the first time after the WWII. You committed crime and you escaped punishment. You do not have the right to demand something to Russia after that.

Wasn't a change of border, it was the independence of a nation. Not the first time in Europe since WW2.

Well then Russia has to accept Kosovo having a referendum to join Albania. And for Moldova to join Romania. Otherwise, not the same.

Independence should be determined by the UN, but NATO used missile strikes to solve the problem. You are the first to violate international law and push Europe into a new war.

Yeah and the destruction of Yugoslavia (the sole Non Aligned Nation in Europe https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-Aligned_Movement) was an act of kindness.

Please. All things thrown into the pot Kosovos independence was apporoved by the UN with NATO boots on the ground.

US opposed the partition plan in 1992 that would've averted a civil war.

It was later revealed that the US offered a secret deal to the Muslims where they could gain recognition in the EU as a separate state.

The objective was not to keep the peace, the objective was conflict. Divide and conquer. No one backed the Yugoslav Confederation which was the only thing that kept the crazy people from one anothers throats.

The objective was to rid Europe of the last country not taking sides.
