There was a tornado today in the northern city of Matosinhos. Tornadoes are rare in Portugal, but they do occur from time to time. This moron even recorded one instead of seeking shelter

Well, those massive stone houses will not decay anytime soon, even if uninhabited

People move away because the beautiful scenery doesn't offer them conditions to lead a good life. Heck, even finding a spouse there is like finding the famous needle in the haystack.

Absolutely and in some very remote areas a few people are very socially isolated and are stuck in a cultural time warp, you can really see it in this video.
