The47man, Thanks for the beautiful pictures!
Have just gotten back from my 4th trip to Portugal and love it as much as ever. I visited Porto for the first time and was surprised and delighted at how attractive the city has become.
One picture I particularly related to was the one of the Alentejo countryside with sunflowers stretching off into the distance. I had the pleasure of seeing it in person riding on a train through Alentejo on a hot summer day, blue skies, and yellow sunflowers all around. Not only was it beautiful, but also a real surprise. Surreal.
Wow these places are really Beautiful. I especially liked the Grandeur of Lisboa, the sun flower fields of Alentejo, the waterfall, lake and mountains of Gerês. Sintra and Porto were also beautiful .By the way what is the name of that building in Sintra.
The Lisbon earthquake per historical sources had an significant impact on the Portuguese psyche of that era which believed it was result of an angry punishing deity. Thankfully the Marquis of Pombal had sense and rebuilt the city.
The whole process of designing the whole painting, and then painting and burning those countless unique tiles that will make up the final painting later on, is really an art and takes a lot of time and talent.
