Two weekends ago we were up in Cottonwood and had lunch at "Plaza Bonita" which has about 6-8 Mexican Food restaurants throughout Arizona and thought it was pretty good.

There is a VA clinic in Cottonwood.

Fry's supermarket is actually a Krogers.

I lived in Sedona for 8 years, left for a year and will be returning shortly.

Kroger's yeah!!! It's my second favorite grocery store...

That's the place I couldn't think of it's name, next to Best Western. When I worked at BW our guests got discounts at Plaza Bonita. I've eaten there a few times and thought it was pretty good.

The first couple of times I went into Cottonwood I thought Fry's was just another dump like Food City.

Then I decided to look and as soon as you go through the door you know what it really is.

Krogers bought up a lot of local chains around the country and let them keep their names so the local people would feel at home.

They are expensive but the best food I found was Nic's in Old Town Cottonwood.

Big steaks, whole slab of melt in your mouth ribs and a real cannoli for dessert.

Can't wait to get back!

From the Terms of Service we all agreed to when we joined C-D:

The only area where recommendations are not permitted is real estate, however general responses, such as "we have many helpful and knowledgeable real estate agents on this forum - just DM them" are fine.

Default Moving to Cottonwood from San Diego

My wife and I just went into escrow on a horse property in Cottonwood. We are going to lease it out for a year while I make my final preparations for retirement. We decided on the quieter side of Cottonwood east of the Verde. Very excited and love the area and the people there.

Hubby was just looking at a house and 40 acres...in Seligman! I nixed that real quick. We originally looked at prescott/prescott valley, but decided we might want to be closer to Sedona. But we are going to keep our minds open until we get there. ..
