Tonight is cedar plank salmon, boards are soaking right now. Salmon was caught in Alaska last year and its the last of our stash. Baked sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Bought some seeds today for the garden this year. C'mon Spring....we need ya!

Tonight's dinner: We got a deal (at least it sounded like one) of a big whoppin' 2-lb bag of fresh mussels @ $3.99/bag. I'm going to steam them (this is the first time I've ever cooked FRESH mussels, rather than frozen ones), and serve them over linguine (mixed with some EVOO, garlic, and a pinch of red pepper flakes).
Thanks for all the well wishes, y'all WFD folks are the best!!!

Dawn, I hope I'm not too late to send DH over for dinner because he adores mussels, I hate them, and I ended up not cooking but having leftovers and leaving him to fend for himself.

I'm crawling back to bed, smooches to everybody (through my surgical mask, of course).

Montreal marinated BBQ'd chuck eye steak (better and cheaper than rib-eye, if you can find it), fresh mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Mmmmm!

Well the salmon dinner got ditched by a Culvers commercial.... DH had to have a butter burger and a cherry concrete. I opted for the Walleye Dinner. At least I had a night out of the kitchen...

Menu changes happen here often...mainly because I read or see something that entices me

I was originally going to make stir fry chicken..but as I noted on my earlier post...that was not a definate. I ended up making parmesan breaded chicken with seasoned egg noodles. It was so good....fried chicken without the fried...moist and flavorful too!

We had a yummy pot roast with veggies. I changed this one up a bit and did a balsamic vinegar reduction with it. Very tasty!
