It's Saturday out to dinner day! Later I will make some soup for DH as a snack because we are going out for an early dinner due to weather concerns. Have a great Saturday.
Grilled out tonight because it is supposed to snow tomorrow. Dinner was grilled burgers and sweet potatoes. Carmelized an onion and added mushrooms and brown gravy. Finished with a salad. Dinner was really good tonight. Happy Saturday to everyone.
I made the calamari-(it wasn't fresh unfortunately)-bought it at Kroger-frozen-was passable, not horrible-it was like like buying frozen clam strips-non-descript.
Out here whenever I see any seafood that is salt water I have to try it! But it's always frozen which can be fishy or bland-I'm giving up!. I think I'll just wait for our vacations at the beach in NC for good seafood.
Tonight is one of our weeklies:
Lean turkey breakfast with onions, garlic, mushrooms and peas in a red sauce over whole wheat penne
Salad
It started raining tonight so I grilled chicken kabobs on my indoor grill on top of the my gas range. Uniformed boneless chicken breast pieces in between button mushrooms, grape tomatoes, red onions & tri-color peppers. Rosemary oven roasted potatoes and steamed broc. with fresh lemon and garlic.
Went to our The Fresh Market and picked up a beautiful, lean Rump roast to make pot roast this coming week.
Flank steak aged three days and marinated in balsamic vinegar, garlic powder and olive oil. Salad of green with blue cheese crumbles and toasted pine nuts and baguette slices.

Reason: spelling
Leftovers....You have your choice of chicken enchiladas, Amish noodles and chicken. OR cornbread and milk... I see fight coming though.....One piece of lemon pie left...HA!
Pretty tasty...made up a way to do Buffalo-style chicken paninis...briefly marinated cold roasted chicken in Frank's Red Hot sauce, layered it alternatingly with blue cheese crumbles on bakery bread, and pressed. Served with herbed baked chips and celery.
