SouthDown

Thank you very much for looking up all the sites for the Hot Pot! This winter I will give it a try! Seems like winter fare.

Sorry I've been gone so much lately.....I've gotten into my reading again and it just takes me away for hours!! Infact I haven't even been on the games thread but once in awhile! It's been years since I actually had the time to just sit and read for hours and I so enjoy a good book! Probably to much! Ha! I have been reading here and checking in just not writing as much! I'm nearly through with this last book so now I can spend more time here!!
Elston, just to be safe I always put a cookie sheet or just some foil under most things that can possibly spill over--it's not worth the mess!! Sounds like that cobbler is something I must make soon from what all of you are saying. With just two of us here I'll probably end up eating most of it!!
I am considering asking hubby to grill some steaks with baked poataoes, cucumbers and tomatoes for tonight. If not steaks then it will be chicken...we'll see and I'll post for sure later what the big decision is!

Good morning all. How I love this thread-Cyn you're the best for starting this.

Tonight will be our local "Cheers" night so no cooking here.

When someone returns my mind I'll figure something out. Still getting organized. That's a job and a half some days. At the moment nothing is on the radar. Some kind of one of those new fangled cobblers is all that sounds good at the moment. I will check in later in the day once I have a handle on the situation.

My cobbler tastes delicious....but it didnt turn out as described. I made apple and used 8 small macs----was a lot of sliced apples----many of them ended up on top and didnt get covered by the creeping crust, which seemed to puff up at the edges more than in the middle...???? It is very good, I thnk there may have been too much apple.

Good morning everyone. Speaking of reading I really need to get back into that again, mainly because there isn't much on TV these days! I have to work today so no cooking for me, hubby has some salmon he will cook for himself, I'm not a big salmon fan. I will probably bring home a fried fish dinner from the VFW.

No it didnt; it looked as if it might....but didnt; it did puff around the edges rather like a yorkshire pudding.
