We had a "regular" dinner last night, even though it was the first night of Rosh Hashanah, since it was just the two of us. Tonight we'll be 6 for dinner, so I am serving up traditional holiday fare: chicken noodle soup with matzo balls, brisket, apple slices, honey, tzimmes, green beans, potato kugel, raisin challah, and honey cake and pomegranets for dessert. Fortunately, I was able to get a store bought raisin challah, so I didn't have to make it (Are you full yet? ) The white table cloth comes out, as do the good dishes...

L'shanah tovah tikatevi v'taihatemi; may you have a Happy New Year filled with good health, family, good friends, the sounds of laughter, good times, and sweet memories.

Thank you. It would be my pleasure to save you some. Would you like honey to dip it into or would you like to put some into your chicken soup?

Thank you.

Unfortunately no, I don't. I was very glad to have remembered to order two loaves in advance from my favorite bakery.
