Really? You can't get a good challah on the east coast of FL? That surprises me.

There is only ONE bakery in at least a 100 mile radius from me that makes them. Fortunately, they're pretty good. They're definitely not as good as the ones I got in NY, but they're still better than my making them. I am a terrible baker. LOL.

Speaking of which....do you have a recipe for good challah bread ?
I just LOVE it...but, it has to be good!
Here is a video for how to braid - very helpful if you've never made this yourself before:

YouTube - Braiding a Six Strand Challah

Also, here is a link with a recipe in English (scroll down a bit to where it says "in English") also with some photos.

Happy New Year CheyDee-dinner sounds so delicious and traditional. That what makes it so special.

You all have been a busy little group today-LOL. Glad I had lunch as my stomach would be howling and growling after reading all these great ideas.

Went looking for Mother of the Groom dresses-getting excited!

Afternoon all, tonight for dinner lentil soup with flatbread on the side. Comfort food. We are supposed to get a cool front tonight and temps won't be scorching for the next few days so I thought it was time for a fall like dinner.

Chicken pot pie was a huge hit with hubby last night. Hoping to gain a few more points with him with dinner tonight.

Hope everyone has a good day.
