Hubbies do that very well---mine is the same way. If I could just put him in a closet sometimes it seems things would turn out just fine without the added aggravation! Ha!

Great idea, but ... crap. We're out of cereal.

I'm thinking fresh veggies -- carrots, celery, tomatoes -- and some artichoke-garlic hummus I bought the other day. The spouse can grill himself a hot dog.

Chicken baked in red wine and seasonings. Steamed asparagus with butter and salt, baked beans (on hand).

Its really been hot here the last couple of days, tonight a cool tossed salad and a ham steak grilled out on the charcoal. Cold Beer. (and the ever present rice for DP is in the rice cooker already. )

Cheesecake Muffins with Pecan-Coconut Crust:

Filling
4 packages softened cream cheese
4 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp lime rind
1 tsp vanilla extract

Crust
1/2 cup toasted pecan pieces
1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
2 tsp sugar
1 stick butter, softened

Mix filling with mixer, refrigerate.
Mix crust ingredients, then press about 2 tsp of crust into bottom of each muffin tin, then top with filling. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until top starts to get golden brown.
When done, shut off oven and leave oven door open for 30 minutes to help prevent cracking, then refrigerate.
