New York strips, and probably a loaded up salad with chunky blue cheese dressing.

I'm overdue for grocery shopping but due to almost 18 inches of snow, extreme cold and high winds, most of the roads are awful and the county has all but shut down. My nearest grocery store is three miles away and I'm not even sure I can get out of our road until it's plowed! It is beautiful out, though.

I'm staying home and making spicy dal (lentil) stew in my slow cooker.

I have a big pot of split pea and ham soup simmering on the stove. Good way to make use of the ham bone from the New Year's ham...This January in Pa. is turning out to be real soup weather.

I'm officially sick-ish with a head cold, which makes sense as I've been off work for 3 weeks and return tomorrow.

I want potato hash with a fried egg and greens and side of quinoa salad with black beans and avocados. It will be an odd dinner, and DH may want to add a steak, but that's what I'm having.

Reading about everyone else's menus has me starving to death! Its only 11:30 in the morning and I want a hot dinner already.

Its just me (and the pooch) tonight, so I'm having leftover black eyed pea and ham soup, spinach and corn muffins washed down with a couple of glasses of Long Island iced tea.

I'll make corned beef hash with the leftovers from my corned beef & cabbage NY's day dinner. We are at -16 but the wind chill is -32. Wind is still fierce blowing all the snow into huge drifts.

A nice salad and homemade Wisconsin Potato cheese soup. First time I've made it in a few years and it is a nice cold day for it!

I made some awesome meatballs the other day too. I never make them so I was a little surprised.

Oh I just tasted it and boy would some clam chowder be good!!!!
