Sausage with peppers and onions, roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and balsamic glaze.

After all that Cuban bread last night we are back to proteins and greens diet.

4 hard boiled peeled eggs
1 1/2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 tbsp flour
1/4 cup bouillon from a vegetable cube
1/4 cup milk
salt/pepper to taste
1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp lemon juice
chopped parsley for decoration

Melt butter in a pot on medium heat, add flour, stirring constantly. Slowly add broth and milk and stir until thick.Add Dijon mustard and flavor with salt and pepper. Add lemon juice to taste.
Pour the sauce over whole or halved eggs and sprinkled with parsley and serve with boiled salt potatoes, cut in large dices and sprinkled with parsley too.

*Sometimes I add capers or dill or instead of broth and milk whipping cream. We like the taste of Dijon so we usually taste test before serving*
Almrausch, your meals are creative and sound delicious. If I were your neighbor, I would ring you up at least once a day to see if I could knock on your door.

Hubby is working, so I'm warming up leftover Ham Tetrazzini. I love leftovers.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I haven't tried the deep-dish, but the regular pizza seems okay. We usually end up stopping there at the last minute, picking up a hot & ready, though. Planning ahead for the win!

Tonight it's Italian sausage & caramelized onions in spaghetti sauce (with a dash of burgundy, because WINE) over rice. An old favorite.
