Kids requested a Southern dinner. So buttermilk chicken fried steaks smothered with mushroom milk gravy. Will have mashed baby reds potatoes and steamed spinach/onions.
Seafood night at our house: Bay scallops and zucchini in a garlic/parsley/butter sauce over angel hair, steamers with an Asian broth and cilantro butter, crusty Italian loaf, Zinfandel and lemon sorbet for dessert.
DH is making sweet potato fries and pork chops. I started making the fries with a new kitchen appliance for me, a mandolin, and ended up at the med center with 15 stitches. Darn that thick cut. I think that I will stick with knives from now on.
