It's tomato season in my neighborhood.

I'm going to make this: Penne with Slow-Roasted Cherry Tomatoes and Goat Cheese recipe | Epicurious.com

Sourdough baguette and strawberry-arugula salad alongside.

May my carbohydrates live long and prosper along with my gluten.

Sick so didn't want to cook. DH grilled chicken brauts and I made some multi colored noodles with some left over pesto and fresh parm.

feel better soon, Mikala.

My refrigerator died overnight, dagnabit, but I managed to rescue one prime chuck roast out of the freezer and a couple of pork chops. Making chili, even though it's not the weather for it. Cooked off the pork chops and have them in the cooler on ice. New fridge delivery scheduled for Tuesday. Hoping my neighbor has room to store whatever chili we dont' eat tonight.

Tonight DH is making another go at slow smoked brisket. Last one the flavor was amazing... but needed to be more tender.

Tonight, we are having leftovers of sauteed broccoli, onion, chicken breast and loaded smashed potatoes without skins.
I am so sorry to hear this pickle. I was so hoping for a happier update. As always I will keep little pickle and the rest of your family in my thoughts and prayers. Please take care.

Pickle, I too wish you the best ... I can't imagine too many worse things than having a chronically ill child and feeling so powerless.

I am a few days behind in posting about my dinners ... this was from a couple of nights ago IIRC!

Chicken wings (I added bbq sauce after they came out of the oven), roasted potatoes, and fresh corn again! I went back and bought lots more for 20 cents each so I am a happy camper.
