new fridge is installed. It will take some getting used to -- bigger than my old one, but less modular in terms of ability to arrange things, so I've found the pride of ownership has immediately taken a back seat to the frustration of dealing with what I want vs. what I can do. It's not a fridge for a cook. It's a fridge for take-out and pre-processed foodstuffs.

At any rate, once it was in and running and I had racked the few salvageables that made it through from Saturday, I went to the grocery store and picked up a few things to get me to the next regularly scheduled shopping trip. tonight will be pan fried cod filets, and green beans with mushrooms.

Tonight my husband is grilling a couple of beautiful rib eyes, baked potatoes with all the fixins, a large garden salad, crusty Italian bread and couple of bottles of Cabernet. I am salivating over the thought of a nice, juicy steak. I am a gal who loves her meat!

It's cold here tonight! My DH requested his favorite - Hungarian Stuffed Peppers. I use yellow peppers. My grandmother (of German decent) always made these and this recipe is very close to hers. https://www.thespruce.com/hungarian-...recipe-1136772

Since I don't eat meat, I swap out the beef and pork for other things. Still delicious.

Having with some crusty rye bread and whipped dill butter.

Apple oats cobbler for desert.

It's hot here, 91 already.

I heated up some leftover lo mein, then made a small French bread, blue cheese olive, and salami sandwich.

I'm still thinking about returning to the kitchen, if you can believe it...

Absolutely! Peas, carrots, celery, onion and of course, lots of chicken! Full crust, or else, it's not a pie!
