Now that our weather is turning to summer we will be able to safely use our grill and our smoker often. Tonight spoiled brat is smoking ribs. He will be putting them on in a few hours and smoke them about 4 hours. The last hour or so on will go the corn on the cob. It is great smoked. And what a better way to use up napkins, If we are going to get dirty fingers from the ribs, might as well have the corn as well. I think I will do broccoli I got today at the farmers market as well. It is so pretty and fresh. That might be all we will have tonight unless I make a salad with cottage cheese and a few raw veggies.
Mainebrokerman - I am very sorry to hear about your loss.
Hot and windy. Tomorrow is D-Day - wine, staples, ... taking the big truck to the other side of town. about once a quarter we have to face the facts that OK has some shortfalls and grocery stores are one of them.
SO left 1/2 of a rib eye last night. I have homemade big hamburgers in the freezer and two buns (focaccia dough with butter and 1/2 milk 1/2 water, patted down and cut out with biscuit cutters aka tuna can rings. Freeze well, take 10 minutes on the counter to defrost.). Salad is happily growing outside.
Donuts freeze really well and make delightful deserts when you rill them a few minutes. Put a grilled peach half with cinnamon and honey in the center, top with vanilla ice cream.
