Good idea. Many men turn out to be great cooks. I know my brother and I got the same training as kids and he turned out to be a much better cook than me, including baking, and he enjoys it a lot.

Out of the retired couples I know, the ones who tend to be happiest are the ones who share chores. When the man sits on his butt all day and the wife continues to do all the chores, I see lots of resentment in most couples. There are a few that seem perfectly happy continuing the arrangement where the wife does everything around the house but in my experience they're in the minority.

For those in need of healing, I offer my prayers and positive thoughts.

Being treated to a spa day, my first ever and I'm loving it. Later we dine at Bob's Steak & Chop House, another first for me. Steak and salad sounds good.

I'm embarrassed to say we're having american chopsuey again, but it's what hubby wanted, the difference is, I used venison, so it's a bit different.

due to fridge death, the salvaged chuck roast has been turned into chili and will keep stewing away in the crockpot until the new fridge is delivered & chills down. So lunch was chili, dinner tonight is chili, lunch tomorrow is chili and probably dinner tomorrow is chili. After that, if there's still any left, it's going in the freezer or in the disposal. I'll decide when that time gets here.
