It's really crappy here today, so I'm making a crock pot of homemade pasta fagioli. Serving with salad, warm crusty bread with seasoned olive oil and some calamari with tomato sauce for dipping.

I'm thinking about roasting the acorn squash that's been hanging around. No idea what I'll put with it at this point, but it's a start.

last night was sushi, vegetable tempura and Japanese chicken fried rice. Tonight is macaroni salad with tuna fish mixed in. I never ate lunch today because work was so busy and then I forgot.

Making chicken stock tonight, to be used in a cassoulet I'm making Saturday. A cassoulet requires a stock that is rich in collagen to get that good crust, so I'm using lots of skin and meaty bones.

Well just darn it all to heck and back! Husband has changed his mind! He doesn't want chicken today, he wants it TOMORROW. He doesn't want me to make it his favorite way with the prosciutto and all, he wants to GRILL it now. I give up. And people wonder why I don't make dinner every night!

MY dinner tonight is a Tombstone Pepperoni Pizza, accompanied by a big glass of really cold milk, followed by wine and Hell's Kitchen. I don't much CARE anymore what he's planning on having.
