Busy day, shopping, running errands and that wonderful twice a year visit to the dentist, so dinner is really exciting: we are have a frozen pizza, either from the freezer here or maybe we will pick one up while shopping at Aldis. Of course I will add a little bit of personal love in the form of more meat and veggies, but still basically store pizza.
I have a lot to do around the house today so I figured it was a good day to smoke a small brisket. I am making a pasta salad, thanks for the inspiration Almrausch! I will also cook up some corn on the cob for those that want it.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
We are celebrating because my daughter and her family were able to return to their home yesterday and it was not damaged from the fires (they live in Idyllwild). I seem to be on a seafood and pasta kick, so tonight it will be Creole red snapper with peppers and onions over linguine, cheddar-ranch dinner rolls, broccoli-apple salad and cherry cheesecake.
More leftovers tonight. Ham slice with leftover baked beans. If I get to the store I’ll make some good sounding corn bread that was on Paula Deen’s show this week. It has cheese, creamed corn and jalapeño in it.
Leftover Chinese for the third day (well it was fresh the first day :P) if DH can stand it, I will also offer to cook buffalo chicken wings again as we are having a wonderful cold front! Only 90 today! Hurray!
Chicken salad with tomato on golden flaxseed bread. Limeade. That is what the weather suggested.
