I agree an insta pot or pressure cooker, whichever is more versatile but I use my air fryer more and all I use 80% of the time is one of the two. I rarely turn on the oven (there are only 2 of us) and I only use a couple of pans for on top of the stove cooking. I use my steamer and I have a couple of skillets I use about 3 or 4 times a week.

It depends on your needs. We grill at least every other day if not more often and that year around heat or blizzard. Slow cooked foods are limited to beans, soup, goulash, chile, Sugo and not much else. I am a visual person and have to be able to open the lid and peek Air fryer has bake and toast option so everything from corn bread to wings and cookies and often on the patio. Nothing like mini apple pies in the air while you are finishing dinner under the stars
Pretty much how I feel. It doesn't do anything my convection oven can't do and lacks the versatility as well.
What surprises me is how many people don't have a convection oven feature on their range, I've had 3 ranges in the past 10 years and they all had a convection oven, and the last two microwave oven's we've had also have a convection feature.

Maybe because the only true micro/convection you can buy in the US is somewhat pricey.

You obviously use yours the way they are meant to be used: We too use ours a lot. Just last night I did our fish and chips in ours. It was excellent, quick and easy clean up.

Here in Arizona where it gets a tad bit hot at times, we move the air fryer to the front porch to keep our kitchen cool. It is hard to do that with a traditional oven. I am going to play with it some more when I have the time.
I guess it depends on what you consider pricey, there are a large number of them available for under $200.
