At long last. Mr C made his chili. Lots of leftover 'cuz he made it in our big crockpot. Towards mid-> end, he added some of his recently acquired Hershey's Chocolate Porter. Had some RL cheddar biscuits, small glass of my moscato and some Snapple. I later switched to just water. Sat down to eat and finish watching the WV game.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend

I wish we could get fresh salmon here. They have salmon in the fish market at the grocery store, but it's just not that good. After reading your post, I decided to open up a can of salmon I bought during Covid crazy grocery shopping some time back, with the intention of making salmon cakes. Couldn't do it. We're having shrimp curry instead. I'll have a sautee of onion, bell pepper, mushroom, carrot and broccoli on the side along with a couple of zucchini fritters I froze awhile back. Didn't want rice again after last night.

I have the same philosophy with salmon. Not a big fan & it needs to be highly spiced, but... when the lockdown began, I also got some of those Costco frozen patties & actually like them a lot. I enjoyed eating them with my own homemade version of tartar sauce & a squish of fresh lemon.

For me, dinner was ham off the bone sandwiches on Jewish rye, courtesy of mum. That's about all the "cooking" she does these days, but I gave her a rave review & she seemed happy. To drink... an espresso followed by innumerable waters... I don't eat processed very often & wow, that sandwich meat is delicious but ever so salty, wow.
