I've heard tell that the MacGuire's in Destin isn't as good as the one in Pensacola. Have you ever been to that one?

No, so I can't give you a comparison.
Actually, I only just heard that the Destin McGuire's even exists.

My bank account's almost always running dry, but when my SO and I find the time and the money, I'm all about Carrabba's. I'm sure there's one in most states. I love their bread and herbs...and their chicken bryan is to die for. I also love their creamy parmesan dressing. When I die, I will request that a plate of chicken bryan, bread and herbs, and salad w/ creamy parmesan dressing get buried with me!

I think the very best dinner I ever had was authentic Mexican at a little restaurant in Carlsbad, NM. I cannot remember the name but the "mama" made all the meals and it was wonderful! (I think it may have been named for her, but memory fails me!)

And the specialty Rock Shrimp dinners at Dixie Crossroads in Titusville, FL are worth the 60 mile drive from my house!

Default Newark & Portuguese

Those from NJ know what I'm talking about. So many great Portuguese places to eat but I usually go to Iberia's. Tep's Italian in Rahway was my favorite but it closed a few years ago. Jose Tejas is great also.

Last summer I was visiting friends in Indiana and they took me to an awesome restaurant, John DuPuis (I think that was how it was spelled). It was the first time I had been in a chef driven restaurant. I could not believe how expensive it was, but the duck was DEVINE.

I've eaten in just about every Portugese rest. in Newark and Elizabeth. In my opinion each has a special dish that stands out. For example. I think AlGarve in Elizabeth has the best stuffed calamari in the area. For Rodizio its Brazillia Grill in Newark. Want a half chicken with ribs, fries and rice for take out lunch? I'd go to Pulaski BBQ in Newark. Paella dishs, my place would be Don Pepe or Fornos of Spain in Newark. If I'm looking for Mariscada then I'll go to Iberia. I've been to Jose Tejas in Iselin a number of times and it's a fun place with good food, (I don't drink often anymore but I will have a Margarita there). I can go on and on but it's making me hungry.
