I haven’t been over to check if they put out any flowers in the last few days. If they put out any flowers I would expect to get a berry for each flower.
For the two new bushes I both selected a variety that should bloom later than the older bush that I have, so I am not sure when they should be flowering.
The one new bush that is doing poorly may not flower at all. I don’t expect any berries from it this year, I just hope it survives.
The other bush I am still hoping for at least one berry this year, just so I can see what kind of berry these varieties produce.
One variety was called Spartan, can’t think of the other variety right now.
Just remembered the other variety of blueberry, it was Duke.
Went out and looked at both of the new bushes. The one doing well is looking even better, more leaves. It will definitely grow well this year, but no flowers yet, so probably no berries.
The one doing poorly has a few more leaves so I am hopeful for it, but I doubt any flowers or berries this year.
Lily of the valley is blooming in a pot in garden patio area. My roses are early usually they bloom in June a very fragrant bourbon pink rose Zephirine Drouhin.
The neighbors pink chestnut (red horse chestnut?) tree opened its flowers yesterday. Before moving here 3 years ago I had never seen one of these but I see several of them around here.
