I am having almost no luck on ebay myself. It has been absolutely dead for the 29 items or so I posted. Rather frustrating trying to figure out what to do with valuable stuff you don't want to just give away.

I reserved my temporary apartment today for a move in date of August 23rd. Now I have a target date for when I have to have renter's lined up for my house, so hopefully that will happen so I don't have to float rent and mortgage!

29 days till I hope on an airplane and say good bye to my family and home town.
11 days till I leave my job.
12 days till I start packing and a few days to rest before I ship them off.

I am ready. My work days feels long.
Taking every chance I get to walk around my city before I bid farewell to everything I know.
This forum has definitely helped in all the planning.

Hope you had a good time, kab0!

Mbryant, I sympathize. But I'm willing to take a hit rather than pack it and move it. I enjoyed them but they aren't that dear to me, I would rather they go to someone who will love them.

cmj, good luck getting your place rented. Are you keeping it for the rental income?

Shanto, enjoy your last month in Mass. Such a pretty time of year there now.

Got my truck down to the shop, Dh drove the new to me car. It will take some getting used to but it will be a lot easier on him than getting into my truck to see the chiropractor.

I can't sell because I'm underwater on the mortgage. 5 years after buying it, $7k paid down on the loan, and $10k of improvements later, it's appraising for 10% less than I still owe on the loan. With realtor fees, etc, I'd have to bring $20k to the table in order to sell it and net zero. So needless to say, I'm keeping this house for who knows how long. I'll probably end up taking a rental loss on it, but I'm not waiting any longer.

My plan is to rent it out and live in the temporary apartment until a job transfer comes through. Hopefully it won't take longer than a few months! I'd like to be in Florida for Christmas!

Renting sounds like a good plan. I hope it covers the mortgage and taxes for you.

We're shooting for FL in fall of 2015.

Good luck! Reading this made my stress levels go up a little, so hopefully it isn't bad for you!

I have decided to stop trying to figure out what to do with clothes that I no longer wear or fit, so I am throwing them all in trash bags for padding for the move and being done with it. It's too much stress for me. Now to just through the small junk that needs packing.

God that was a long day. Took them eight hours to load. They didn't show until 2:30.
