How Do You Look up License Plate Numbers?

The website SearchQuarry.com - Public Records Search Service allows users to search for information on car owners by typing in the VIN or license plate number.

Law Dictionary: How Do You Look up License Plate Numbers?
But most people don't go around writing down every license plate number they see and look them up when they get home.

You may have to do it only once in your life but it is good to know if you need to know the name of the person who just did something to you while in their car and drove off , get the plate number, that information might be public record in some states. Whats the point of these license plate scanners that police use to collect thousands of plate numbers and run those numbers through a data base if it can't tell them who the person is who is associated with that plate number?

In the real world, if a suspicious car has been parking in front my relative's house I'm going to drive by and read the plate and remember the six digits until I see my cop friend and ask him if he'll run the number for me. Its a new world , you not only have to beware of who's reading your plates, but who is your car talking to.

Or in your world, you drive by Adult Book stores and look for familiar license plate to see if a family member is there.

I don't think adult book stores, ***** houses, or strip joints are immoral. The purpose of my post was that some people who do go to them try to hide the fact that they are there by keeping their plates out of view and you erroneously argued that no one can detect your identity by your licence plate.

My point is, I don't think anyone going to an adult book store is trying to "hide" their license plate or are worried about being found out. Honestly, what do people in the majority of states with front license plates do? Park their car sideways? Put a bag over the license plate?

I think it cost this man the Governorship of Kansas which is a stupid reason for him to have lost the race.

Paul Davis Loses Ground In Kansas Governor's Race

Responding to the strip club attack ads, which featured neon nightclub signs and a close-up of a dancer's stiletto heels, Davis has said he was single and 26, wasn't arrested and was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Thank you for completely derailing my thread, we aren't even discussing the question at hand anymore.

I assumed it was for law enforcement purposes.

Lucky for me Michigan doesn't require front plates so I can still display my Montana plate in front. I will return to you one day, Montana!

Seems like every state in the south just has 1 plate.
