If Asian women are considered desirable, why aren't there any who are top movie stars/actresses.....doesn't sound like a bigoted question to me. Didn't realize that topics related to Asians were off limits.
They are so many more Asian women in the porn film industry than the mainstream film industry. Why? There are many mainstream film roles for women which do not require a specific race to fill the role.
It is interesting that in Japanese video games and anime (made for the Japanese market), the "ideal" babe almost always shows up as some blonde haired, blue eyed cacausoid-ish girl.

Personally, I think Japanese women are beautiful. They hardly show signs of aging and are almost never fat. Caucasian women tend to get scary ugly with age.

There's a difference between attraction and wide acceptance.
White people (the majority of this country) want to relate to white people. Why do British actors speak American english. Because they look like us (just more attractive) and are able to sound like us too.
Now if we were to look at ****-stars lets see the stats on that.
Hollywood is as racist as they come, save for slights against Jews or Israel. Sad but true. Looking back at TV shows in the 60s when I was a kid--the portrayals back then of Blacks, Native Americans, Hispanics, Arabs, and Asians are really hard to watch now. They represent the worst of stereotypes.

I generally shy away from using the race card, but in this case, you are absolutely correct. I remember watching Charlie's Angels, the movie version with Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore, and Cameron Diaz. Guess who plays Lucy Liu's father in the movie? John Cleese!!

Your post just seems uninformed. i don't know where you come up with "considered desirable" and you still haven't answered why you perceive it as such and I don't know if asian women are more in the porn film industry. There are plenty of porn stars of all races so it's hard to take you seriously when you say asians are considered desirable when even in porn industry, they are not the most popular as white, latina and black women. White men and women are still the most famous and popular porn stars. Porn industry is not a mainstream audience anyways so it doesn't have anything to do with it and porn caters to different fetishes as their are interracial, latina, black, white, gay etc.

When i did a search on the top 100 most popular pornstars, it was mostly all white or latina women. So again, your assumptions seem odd considering reality is different than what you assume others think.
Mainstream west does not accept asians for the most part as being "normal" as the rest because they look the most different and they don't fit into thier storylines for the most part. This is normal as there are not a lot of westerners in asian films and media either. Also, most asians don't enter entertainment fields.

She once stated she "died a thousand deaths" as a bit of a mockery of how her characters got killed off when they got too close to the white guy. (White were forbidden to marry Asians in California at that time)
Sometimes this was because other cultures had different views of sex than the West. Although Westerners sometimes exaggerated how sexually liberal everything was in Asia. In the West "actress" meant something like "prostitute" at one time so if they ended up in Japan or wherever and saw troupes of female entertainers as relatively common it may have seemed like that meant hookers were everywhere. In the case of the US we also had a series of wars involving East Asia from 1941 to 1973 so many American soldiers did have East Asian lovers. Possibly that fit into the fantasy of "East Asian woman enters my life and then leaves forever" as I think many to most of these relationships did not survive the war.

It just seems that even in today's world Asian women are not given progressive film roles. To me this is just odd especially since there has been a lot of progress in terms of how non-Whites are portrayed on film.
For example, there is a character on the new Melrose Place who is a med school student (smart Asian kid stereotype) but has to turn to a life of prostitution (geisha girl stereotype) because she is low on funds. Each new episode has her exchanging sex for money with men (White, Black, Arab, so far) Out of all the characters on the program she is the only Asian, yet her character is the only one that is unapologetically stereotypical in nature.
