Wasn't that long ago but many have forgotten what use to be in place of the ballpark. The old art deco Burlington Industries headquarters which later became the Department of Social Services. Lindsay Street went through center field.

i called it, North Carolinas next boom town after Durham.

And now Greensboro is exploding with growth.

Crazy to think five years ago nothing was really going on here.

Growth doesn't happen over night. Its gradual and we are gradually seeing Greensboro and the Triad become the next big growth area.

Here is Roy Carroll's $15,000,000 yacht called Rhino, named after the newspaper he owns.

Carroll's private jet

And he owns a number of Ferraris and homes on the NC coast and Florida. And of course his penthouse condo at Center Pointe in downtown Greensboro. But all this is a drop in the bucket for a Billionaire lol.

What can downtown Greensboro expect with the planned downtown bowling alley on South Elm Street?

Paul Talley of Greensboro owns the Limelight Nightclub several blocks north of the site where he will build an upscale boutique bowling alley. The location of the bowling alley will be at the corner of Lewis Street and South Elm Street at the heart of downtown Greensboro's growing entertainment district. Within a block of the site are breweries, a distillery, restaurants, Boxcar Barcade and the destination frozen daiquiri bar Fat Tuesday. It will be a block away from downtown's upscale Southside Neighborhood. The 7-story Hampton Inn and Suites going up is also not far away.

Paul Talley also owns the Comedy Zone in Greensboro and an upscale 6 lane bowling alley and bar near downtown Greenville, SC called Stone Pin. Talley plans an 8 lane bowling alley in downtown Greensboro with a restaurant, an upscale bar with cocktails and craft beer. This will be a great entertainment addition to downtown Greensboro and its will be around the corner from BoxCar Barcade. The bowling alley will be a little more upscale. Charlotte already has a downtown bowling alley and there is also an 8 lane bowling alley planned for downtown Durham

Downtown Greensboro will have a bowling alley lounge similar to this one

Stone Pin, Greenville, SC

Nice! I mentioned a few years back that the upscale bowling alley/comedy club is something I missed from the area I lived at before coming here. This will be a welcome addition to our downtown entertainment options.

Beam rises to the 7th floor. The hotel will be 8 stories tall because the section above the 7th floor that will have the signage will be a story tall. The statue of General Greene, the city's namesake, stands majestically in the middle of the roundabout.

I really hope the color panels light up at night like on other Aloft Hotels that have those panels. That would look so cool at night.
