The former Cascade Saloon, one of downtown's oldest buildings, will be redeveloped:

"The former Cascade Saloon in downtown Greensboro will be restored to serve as the headquarters of Rentenbach Constructors.

The structure, located at 408-410 S. Elm St., is slated for $3 million of work, the News & Record reported.

The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but it's been in disrepair for decades."

Construction fences have been erected around the GPAC site, also progress on Union Square is really picking up the pace.
