Lots of the problems with the Woodruff Rd/fly over exits comes from people trying to pass everyone in line for the exit and then cut in at the last second.
There are at least two large graffiti areas still up on the interchange months later. As posted earlier someone said this is the responsibility of the contractor to clean it all up before the project is completed. But do we have to wait until then to have it cleaned off?
Every day this stays up it encourages more.
After being ignored by SCDOT for four months I tweeted at the Governor about it, and at least the one graffiti area I passed today has been cleaned up! Still have to check on the other.

Yeah, the contractor has to remove all of the graffiti before completion of the project. Otherwise, the FDOT and SCDOT won’t accept it as 100% finished. At least this is what I was told by my contact person at Flatiron I provide the drone shots to.

It stinks we have to live with the ugly graffiti for months on end until they decide they are ready to close out the project.

The one they did clean off 3 weeks ago has not been back. Graffiti has a tendency to get put on when people see other graffiti around. So it is crucial to remove it as soon as possible to discourage further graffiti. If vandals know their work will be removed quickly they will have less willingness to spend time doing it.

All of the graffiti is gone now except for this one.
